Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu black belt, Jorge Gurgel (13-5) will face undefeated Billy Evangelista as the main event of Strikeforce Challengers’ November 6 event. Gurgel defeated Conor Huen via unianimaous decision at Strikeforce’s June Challengers event. Evangelista was on the Challengers event a month prior where the bout was ruled a “No Contest” due to an illegal knee after originally being ruled as Mike Aina winning due to disqualification in the second round.
Also on the event will be Fresno State wrestler, Casey Olson. Olson’s opponent is yet to be announced.
Strikeforce Challengers will be held at the Save Mart Center in Fresno, CA and broadcast on Showtime at 11PM EST/PST.
