
Kennedy wants to take a run at the middleweight belt
Zak Cummings was undefeated coming in to Friday night.
Tim Kennedy made sure he didn’t leave that way.
Kennedy controlled Cummings for most of their fight at “Strikeforce Challengers,” before eventually finishing him off with a north south choke in the second round.
Afterwords, Kennedy made it clear that his goal was to make a run at the Strikeforce middleweight belt.
Also on the card, former Olympian Daniel Cormier made a successful transition into MMA, TKO-ing an overmatched Gary Frazier in the second round.
