Matt Hughes signs new fight deall and most likely his last one.
Matt Hughes (43-7) has announced, via his website, that he has signed a “multi-fight deal with the UFC.” Hughes went on to say this will likely be his last contract, at age 35, he has ambitions for several other avenues. Hughes mentioned on his website that he is interested in doing is own hunting show.
There has been no announcement, not even rumors, as to who Hughes will be fighting next. However, Hughes did comment that in the contract negotiations teh UFC executives brought up the name of a person whom he has yet to fight.

be interesting to see what he can do in the ww division,it’s definetly a good signing for ufc,only 35 and in good shape and strong and coming off a win against serra.
stop it Daley…this guy is Strikeforce material! He can’t beat GSP, Koschek, Alves, Fitch and got all he could handle from Serra. I personally would like a rematch between them. Matt Hughes is a “Hall of Famer” in the UFC but far removed from a championship caliber fighter in the WW division. I respect Hughes’ accomplishments but he’s got a fork in him, he’s done!!!
depends on how much they pay him,his salary obviously dropped abit but he brins expericence and if he trains like he used to and motivated he can take out a swick,marcus davis,dan hardy and he has beat gsp before.
