Kerry Vera has signed a four fight deal with Strikeforce, and will fight in their 135lb division, Sherdog.com reported.

Vera, the wife of current UFC fighter Brandon Vera, made her mixed martial arts debut last May for Bellator Fighting Championship, garnering praise for her hard fought unanimous decision victory over Leslie Smith.

In 2007, Vera won the reality show “Fight Girls.” The Oxygen channel show followed tenĀ  female Muay Thai fighters in an elimination based competition, similar to that of the “Ultimate Fighter.”

Strikeforce CEO Scott Coker also revealed that Strikeforce will push back its 135lb and 145lb eight-woman tournaments until 2010.

Vera’s trainer, Eric DelFierro, was noncommittal when asked whether or not Vera would enter the tournament.

“It all depends on the timeline,” DelFierro said. “She’s still developing as a fighter and we’d like to see her get two or three fights before we consider the tournament. We don’t know who’s in the tournament yet, so we’ll look at that when we know more.”
