AOL Fanhouse first reported that Thiago Alves had to pull out of his UFC 107 fight with Jon Fitch.

MMA Weekly is reporting that the reason is a torn PCL is forcing the American Top Team fighter out of the bout.

It is the second knee injury suffered by a Fitch opponent. Alves was supposed to step into Ricardo Almeida’s place at UFC 107, who was also sidelined with a knee injury.

MMA Weekly reported that Alves’ management tried to get the fight pushed back to another card, but most of the immediate cards have been filled.

Fitch will likely get another replacement fight.
