Condit ready for shot at title
“I’m excited to be training with Greg and his team,” Condit told MMA Madness.
There was a rumored riff between Donald Cerrone and Condit when Condit left to join Arizona Combat Sports.
Condit moved to the camp coincidentally as Cerrone was preparing for Jamie Varner, who trains with ACS.
Cerrone admitted that it wasn’t a big deal if Condit was giving away his game plan for Varner because the strategy remained the same.
“There is no secret to my gameplan. I’m going to knock the [expletive] out,” Cerrone said of Varner.
Condit said moving to ACS might have caused complications with him and Cerrone, but that the time for animosity has passed.
“I’m focusing on my stuff, and doing what’s best for me,” Condit said.
Cerrone also confirmed that there is no bad blood between him and his newly-acquired training partner.
“Carlos has an awkward but good, long standup and long and awkward jiu-jitsu,” Cerrone said. “He’s an awesome fighter and everyone learns from each other [at Greg Jackson's gym].”
