Faber signed a multi-fight deal with the WEC.
WEC general manager Reed Harris confirmed with MMA Junkie on their radio program that Urijah Faber has signed a multi-fight deal extension with the company.
Harris told Junkie that there the rumors floating about Faber possibly leaving the WEC were not true and that the deal is mutually beneficial to both sides.
Faber has been on the sidelines nursing a broken hand, and is expected to return in 2010.

This signing bodes well for the WEC and for the sport in general. Uriah is a great athlete, a strong former champion, and in my mind exemplifies a lot of good things about modern MMA. Aside from being a major stud, Faber is intelligent, educated, disciplined and hard working, and has brought a lot of deserved attention to the lighter weight classes.
Hoping he can quickly overcome the hand injuries, as well as the surgery he’s had to undergo, and contend once again for the WEC featherweight title.
agreed o all points…a fighter with Uriah’s pedigree only deserves top notch competition and there is no other placed for him but in WEC.
