Guymon, right, signed a multi-fight deal with the UFC.
Mike “Joker” Guymon has signed a four-fight deal with the UFC, Guymon announced on “The Underground,” and MMAjunkie.com reported that the deal spans 18 months.
There is no debut date or opponent has been determined for the King of the Cage welterweight champion. Guymon enters the UFC with five consecutive wins via stoppage and a 9-1 record since 2004.
Guymon turned pro in 1999, and has only dropped two fights — a loss to Diego Sanchez and Pat Healy. He runs the Wild Fighting Academy in Lake Forest, Calif.

this is no joke.

Well, it’s about time. Guymon is a pretty talented guy, and has belonged in one of the bigger shows for a while now. I don;t know how he’ll fare in the UFC, but he’s certainly a cut above the rest of the guys in KOTC. I’ve been wondering for a minute now when he was going to step up. I bet he’s had some decent offers from other organizations like Strikeforce, but was waiting for Zuffa’s call. Smart move on his part, I hope it works out for him.
