King Mo shows american fans why they should believe the hype.
Muhammed Lawal told MMA Madness’ Cameron Gidari that he was talking to Strikeforce and was waiting for his knee to heal before making a commitment to the promotion.
Well, “King” Mo will be coming to the company, after Sherdog reported that the fighter signed with Strikeforce.
Strikeforce is hoping that Lawal would be able to make his promotional debut before the end of the year.
Lawal, a versatile fighter who can compete between middleweight, light heavyweight and heavyweight, said he doesn’t back down from challenges, but isn’t at the point in his career where he wants to call out fighters.
“When you test yourself against somebody, it’s like you’re saying, ‘I can’t beat them, I want to see how good I can do,’” Lawal told Gidari. “I do that in practice. I like to see how good I can get in practice, not when I’m competing.”
