The Sydney Morning Herald is reporting that the UFC is planning a February show in Australia’s Acer Arena in Sydney’s Olympic Center.

The idea was also alluded by MMA Junkie when Frank Trigg hinted that his next fight might occur in Australia. The Acer Arena holds 21,000 fans, and MMA is nothing new to the country.

Cage Fighting Championships calls Australia its home and Bellator middleweight champ Hector Lombard has fought for the promotion on numerous occasions.

gooday mate! it’s big news breaking into a country like that, well we will have to see the ticket sales first but i think it will be huge, they like the wild life over there and you dont get nothing as pure and wild as two combatent’s fighting.”beers all round mate”.i actually have a cage fighting event on dvd from australia with george sortiropolous fighting kyle ko noke on,it’s called warriors realm and its a proper legit release no bootleg copied stuff.hard one to get hold of.they should do a out door venue there that would just add a great atmosphere but with mainly arena holding more they will go with arenas.does anyone know if there is a arena with no roof or opening roof?there must be a football arena.
