Urijah Faber Is Set To Make His Return

“The California Kid” Urijah Faber (22-3) is set to make his return to the cage at WEC 46 against featherweight Raphael Assuncao (14-1) as both fighters have verbally agreed to the bout.

Urijab Faber appears to be set for his long awaited return into the cage at WEC 46.

According to a report by MMAWeekly.com, this will be the long awaited return of Faber after suffering an injury at WEC 41 in his bout versus the WEC featherweight champion Mike Thomas Brown.

Many have wondered if the result would have been any different if Faber had not suffered a broken hand so early in the fight.

The former champion has been sidelined since June recovering from the injury.

Now the Faber is ready to get back into the cage to begin his climb back up to latter in order to get another shot at the title.

Assuncao just received his second victory in as many fights in the promotion at WEC 43 verses Yves Jabouin by split decision.

Assuncao will have his work cut out for him if the WEC schedules this event to take place in Sacramento, CA which happens to be the hometown of Faber.
