Strikeforce to Sign Two Heavyweights in Coming Weeks

Strikeforce president Scott Coker announced at last night’s post-fight press conference that the company would be signing two big heavyweights within the next two weeks. He did not announce who these heavyweights were.

Strikeforce president Scott Coker announced at last night’s post-fight press conference that Strikeforce will sign two heavyweights in the next seven to ten days.

Coker hinted that these heavyweights would factor in to the upper end of the division, but would provide no further details.

The list of current free agent heavyweights is headed by Andre Arlovski. Other names include Josh Barnett, Aleks Emelianenko, Jeff Monson, and Bobby Lashley.

    good news,he has werdum and overeem to fight fedor but its a good time to add 2 more to create future challengers for the title,really liking strikeforce at the moment and hope they get the support and bacing of the fans so we can have 2 major mma companies.

    Strikeforce has a long way to go, but they are becoming a formidable organization. I’m excited to watch them develop as well as the fights they presenting. It’s nice to have a good alternate and/or compliment to the UFC.
