The UFC awarded $50,000 bonuses for Fight of the night, Submission of the Night, and Knockout of the Night. The full salaries of all UFC 108 fighters have also been released.

“UFC Fight Night” on Spike TV heads to the suburbs of Washington D.C. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 9:00pm ET/PT for the first ever UFC fight in Virginia with a card featuring some of the best up-and-coming lightweight fighters. Emanating from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on the campus of George Mason University, undefeated UFC lightweight Gray Maynard (9-0, 1 NC) takes on hard-hitting Nate Diaz (11-4) in the main event with Efrain Escudero and Evan Dunham in a duel of undefeated fighters in the co-feature.

Despite false report, Shane Carwin will fight Brock Lesnar at UFC 108 in Las Vegas as planned.

Demian Maia is set to return to the Octagon at UFC 110, when he takes on Dan Miller. Both fighters are coming off of losses, and look to get back into the title hunt. UPDATED WITH NEW DETAILS

The Las Vegas Review-Journal reported that “The Ultimate Fighter” alumni Junie Browning was arrested in relation to an assault at St. Rose Dominican Hospital in Henderson, Nev. Browning was admitted to St. Rose after a pair of friends brought him to the hospital, after it was reported that Browning took 16 pills of Klonopin, an anti-anxiety drug.

MMA Madness staff makes its predictions for UFC 103 in Dallas. The main event will feature former middleweight champion Rich Franklin and former UFC champion Vitor Belfort.

*UPDATED* The scales have been tipped and the results are in. (Almost) all of the fighters made weight, with the exception of Hermes Franca and Efrain Escudero. Franca came in at 159#, three pounds over the allowed limit of 156. As a result, Tyson Griffin agreed to a catch weight of 159# for the fight with Franca. Escudero came in one pound over the limit and has one hour to lose the pound or he will be eliminated from tomorrow’s fight against Cole Miller.

Efrain Escudero is prepared to shock the world. In his first fight since winning the “Ultimate Fighter” in December, Escudero has prepared for opponent Cole Miller to the point where he says he knows everything that Miller is going to do. If anyone is picking Miller, Escudero is excited to prove them wrong.

Spike TV will air a portion of the UFC pay-per-view undercard live to its audience for the first time ever, as the network presents bouts from UFC 103 in Dallas, TX commercial-free live Saturday, September 19 at 9:00pm ET/6:00pm PT. This telecast will mark the first time the network will air a fight-card without commercial interruption.
