MMA Junkie has received word of the UFC 104 medical suspensions. Heavyweight Pat Barry was suspended fro 180 days, and Lyoto Machida was suspended for 60 days.

Mauricio “Shogun” Rua will have a quick turnaround to defend his controversial loss to Lyoto Machida. The UFC has given Rua an immediate rematch with the light heavyweight champ.

A lot has changed since Lyoto Machida has won the UFC light heavyweight title. He is thankful he has the right support system that is keeping him grounded heading into his bout with Mauricio Shogun Rua at UFC 104.

Light heavyweights Mauricio “Shogun” Rua and Lyoto Machida each made weight and came in under the 205 pound limit. The same cannot be said for welterweight Anthony Johnson and lightweights Josh Neer and Gleison Tibau.

Paulo Filho was pulled off of the DREAM 12 card. MMA Weekly is reporting that it was caused by visa issues.

Sources close to MMA Junkie have reported that Rashad Evans and Thiago Silva have agreed to fight at UFC 108, which is slated to be on Jan. 2 inside of the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. Evans (13-1-1) was supposed to take on Rampage Jackson at UFC 107 in Memphis, Tenn., but Jackson’s abrupt “retirement” and decision to film the A-Team movie put that fight on hold
