“UFC Fight Night” on Spike TV heads to the suburbs of Washington D.C. on Monday, January 11, 2010 at 9:00pm ET/PT for the first ever UFC fight in Virginia with a card featuring some of the best up-and-coming lightweight fighters. Emanating from the Patriot Center in Fairfax, VA on the campus of George Mason University, undefeated UFC lightweight Gray Maynard (9-0, 1 NC) takes on hard-hitting Nate Diaz (11-4) in the main event with Efrain Escudero and Evan Dunham in a duel of undefeated fighters in the co-feature.

In their first meeting, Nate Diaz submitted Gray Maynard to earn a spot on “The Ultimate Fighter” finals. MMA Weekly is reporting that two may headline the Ultimate Fight 20 card.

Dana White announced through his Twitter page that Philippe Nover had a seizure in his locker room, and his fight with Sam Stout is officially off the Ulitimate Fight Night 19 card. White added that Nover is OK and that Stout was a class act about the whole situation.

Melvin Guillard, 26, has been a professional fighter for nearly eight years, but he’s been a fighter since the day he was born. Guillard has three back-to-back wins going into his fight with fellow TUF-alum Nathan Diaz Wednesday as the headliner for Ultimate Fight Night 19.

Kenny Florian will return to the announcer’s booth for Ultimate Fight Night 19 in Oklahoma City, Okla. He will replace Joe Rogan for the show, and will call the fights alongside Mike Goldberg.

All the fighters for UFN 19 made weight. Lightweight Nate Diaz needed to take a second weigh-in after weighing in a half pound over the limit.

Carlos Condit lost his WEC welterweight title without ever losing a fight, then lost a UFC debut that many thought he won. For his next fight against Jake Ellenberger, Condit uses it all as motivation.

Former Mighty Morphing Power Ranger Jason David Frank discussed his passion for MMA on a recent episode of Sans the Gloves radio. Frank wants the fans to understand that he is not looking to use MMA to boost his acting career and he should not be compared to Jose Canseco.

Dan Miller suffered an infection and had to pull out of his UFN 19 fight with CB Dollaway. Jay Silva will be stepping into Miller’s place.
