Couture vs. Vera Headlines Spike TV’s Live Broadcast of UFC 105
Legendary five-time UFC® champion Randy “The Natural” Couture will headline a fight card on Spike TV for the first time on Saturday, November 14 (8:00pm ET/PT same day tape) in the main event of UFC 105. Emanating from the MEN Arena in Manchester, England, Couture will square off against highly-regarded veteran Brandon “The Truth” Vera in a bout in the light heavyweight division.
UFC 105 Confirmed, Johnson-Sobatta Off Card
UFC 105 was announced on the UFC Web site, confirming the main event between Brandon Vera and Randy Couture. The DaMarques Johnson and Peter Sobatta was canceled, and MMA Junkie reports that Sobatta had to pull out of the fight due to military commitments.
Swick-Hardy to Determine No. 1 Contender
Mike Swick had to pull out of his first No. 1 contender fight with Martin Kampmann due to injury. He will get another opportunity, as AOL Fan House and MMA Junkie are reporting that he will face U.K. sensation Dan Hardy in a title contender eliminator.

Martin Kampmann’s original bout with Mike Swick was supposed to be a title eliminator. Even though his opponent changed, Kampmann isn’t about to lose focus.
