RUMOR: Phil Baroni vs Marcus Davis in the works for UFC 111 in New Jersey
MMAMADNESS.com has confirmed the UFC has a verbal agreement from both Phil Baroni and Marcus Davis to compete on the March 27th card in New Jersey. No contracts have been signed, though both men have made the verbal commitment. Marcus Davis is coming off a two-fight losing streak against Dan Hardy and Ben Saunders, respectively.
Rumor: Matt Veach vs Mark Bocek for TUF 10 Finale
Though the premiere episode has yet to air the finale for the tenth season of The Ultimate Fighter is already taking shape. The latest rumored bout is the lightweight meeting of Matt Veach versus Mark Bocek. Bocek (7-2) is on a two-fight win streak last winning at UFC 97 in April against David Bielkheden. Veach (11-0) last fought in February as part of Ultimate Fight Night 18. The undefeated HIT Squad member retained his perfect record with a TKO win over Matt Grice.
Vying for Number Two: Clay Guida to face Kenny Florian
Kenny Florian, who just lost to UFC light weight title holder BJ Penn, will soon be facing a beast of another nature…Clay Guida’s hair. A match between the two has been reported by numerous sites, with AOL Fanhouse breaking the rumor. At this point it’s only a rumor, but the match could be as soon as UFC 106 in November.
