Josh Thomson has waited for his chance to fight Gilbert Melendez again and the time has finally come for him to fight. Tonight, Thomson makes his return to the cage, and he hopes to keep the title around his waist.

Former Olympic wrestling medalist Matt “The Law” Lindland, who recently took a stab at the world of politics, answered Six Questions recently posed to him regarding his highly-anticipated return to mixed martial arts (MMA) action tomorrow during the live Showtime telecast of StrikeForce: Evolution.

Just months after the stunning announcement that he would try his hand at mixed martial arts (MMA), NFL and NCAA football legend, Herschel Walker, will make his highly-anticipated StrikeForce MMA debut at BankAtlantic Center in Sunrise, Florida on Saturday, January 30. Superstar Nick Diaz and StrikeForce world 145-pound women’s champion Cris Cyborg will co-headline a stacked fight card during StrikeForce’s historic first visit to the state of Florida.

As a preview to MMA’s return to broadcast television on CBS this Saturday, Nov. 7 with StrikeForce/M-1 Global: FEDOR VS. ROGERS (9:00 PM, Live ET/delayed PT), CBS affiliates and owned stations will broadcast an encore presentation of the SHOWTIME series FIGHT CAMP 360°: FEDOR vs. ROGERS starting today (check local listings for times).

Luke Rockhold hasn’t fought a known opponent. That all changes when he takes on Jesse Taylor tonight at the Strikeforce Challengers card, and Rockhold looks to prove that he’s ready for the big time.

Showtime is hyping the Brett Rogers-Fedor Emelianenko fight the best they can with a special called FIGHT CAMP 360. The show will give fans an in-depth look at the training camp for one of the more anticipated fights this year.

Fresh off a sparkling victory on Sept. 25, budding superstar and two-time All-American wrestler at the University of Missouri, undefeated Tyron “T-Wood” Woodley (4-0) of St. Louis, will come back on Friday, Nov. 20, when he faces dangerous Rudy Bears (13-5) of Kansas City in the featured bout of an outstanding Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) card at historic Memorial Hall in Kansas City.

Undefeated heavyweight mixed martial arts (MMA) prospects Shane Del Rosario (8-0) and Brandon Cash “Money” (5-0) will square off in a STRIKEFORCE Challengers matchup at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., on Friday, Nov. 6. Rising middleweight (185 pounds) stars Luke Rockhold (5-1) and Jesse “J T Money” Taylor (13-4) will duke it out that night as well.

Tim Kennedy is thankful to get the opportunity to restart his MMA career. He broke an 18-month layoff with a submission victory over Nick Thompson. He returns to the cage Friday against Zak Cummings at the Strikeforce Challengers card.

Josh Thomson has been itching to get back into the cage. He suffered a leg injury that forced him out of his bout with Gilbert Melendez at the Aug. 15 Strikeforce card, and he re-injured the leg during training, MMA Weekly reports.
