Despite rumors that he might be cut, Frank Trigg’s career will continue. MMA Junkie is reporting that the UFC has no plans to cut the welterweight, despite UFC president Dana White alluding that it might happen.
All 26 Fighters from UFC 103 Suspended
Medical suspensions have been handed by from UFC 103, and all fighters were suspended for at least seven days. MMA Junkie is reporting that Mirko Cro Cop is suspended indefinitely and will need clearance from a doctor to return to the Octagon.
Trigg’s Future Uncertain
Frank Trigg might be on the UFC’s chopping block, and if he is cut, it will mark the end of his career. Trigg announced through his Twitter that he will retire if the UFC releases him.
White Hints At Vitor Belfort/ Anderson Silva Matchup
At the UFC 103 post-fight press conference, president Dana White spoke about the middleweight title picture. Based on their past performances against champion Anderson Silva, White thinks that Nate Marquardt and Dan Henderson should fight each other now. He also says that Vitor Belfort is ready for Silva.
UFC 103 Bonuses & Gate
The UFC handed out $65,000 bonuses for Fight of the Night, Submission of the Night, and Knockout of the Night. Ricky Story earned two of these bonuses.
