While no bout agreements have been signed, sources close to both camps have confirmed to Fighters Only the men have verbally agreed to the fight.

Yoshihiro Akiyama is in Japan promoting the UFC 2009 Undisputed video game, and he also let out his potential next opponent in the process. MMA Junkie reported that Akiyama will face PRIDE FC legend Wanderlei Silva sometime in February.

DREAM 11 saw the return of Kazushi Sakuraba, a featherweight champion crowned and a highly-anticipated rubber match. Bibiano Fernandes took home the featherweight grand prix title and the featherweight title, and Shinya Aoki finally claimed the lightweight title.
